Why are there so many Pinocchio movies coming out?

Seriously, why have there been so many Pinocchio movies coming out lately. There was that weird one everyone was talking about for a while, you know the "father, when can I leave to be out on my own" Pinocchio. There was the live action Disney remake Pinocchio, that I heard wasn't wonderful. Now there's a Netflix original Pinocchio coming out. I don't even have the answer as to why this has become a trend. My best guess is that they are trying to one up each other. But I seriously don't know why this is a thing. Why is this the year of Pinocchio? I think it's hilarious, especially with the Pinocchio: A true story, it came out before live action Disney Pinocchio. So no, I don't have the exact answer, I just wanted to pose the question.
